While this second-generation Sonicview FTA receiver doesn't include the Personal Video Recording (PVR) capability + high definition resolution of its Sonicview big brothers 360HD and the 8000 HD PVR or the dual tuner + PVR capability of the Sonicview 360 Elite PVR, it's a best-in-class receiver with plenty of other features to brag about — USB 2.0 capability, for starters. And the 4000's handy front-panel USB 2.0 port lets you download channel lists and Sonicview program updates efficiently. Or plug in a USB multimedia device for MP3 or JPEG playback.

The user-friendly Sonicview 4000 offers a gorgeous picture and an impressive video zoom. You can even view up to nine different channels on a single screen. Handy organizational features include a true 7-day Electronic Program Guide and a channel-sorting feature that allows you to categorize channels alphabetically, by satellite, CAS, FTA/Scramble, or Order and Network.

The 4000 fully supports MPEG-2 & DVB-S and includes a full complement of component outputs. And a couple of nice tech twists that you're sure to appreciate: 32Mb Flash ROM for fast channel-changing, 40-step volume control and super speedy 1-second channel-changing.
